311 Summer Unity Tour

311concert

This year I started my summer concert experience out with an old favorite; 311. I’ve tried to count how many times I’ve seen this band and its got to be somewhere between 6 and 8 times. Each of those experiences were great and the latest concert was no exception.

As always 311 played a generous and energetic set that included all of the fan favorites and included a few new tracks from their newests studio album Uplifter.

They also brought along two othe great bands; The Expendables and Ziggy Marley. They each played a nice set, but when 311 took the stage it was clear who the crowd had come to see.

When it was all done 311 had played 22 songs in all. Their set list was a great mix of old favorites and future hits.

They played the following songs:

1. Never Ending Summer
2. Beautiful Disaster
3. All Mixed Up
4. It’s Alright
5. Come Original
6. India Ink
7. Love Song
8. Freeze Time
9. Amber
10. Daisy Cutter
11. Applied Science
12. Something Out of Nothing
13. Beyond the Gray Sky
14. Do You Right
15. Hey You
16. Mix It Up
17. What Was I Thinking* (Extended Bass Solo)
18. Jackpot
19. Creatures (For a While)
Encore
20. Omaha Stylee
21. Golden Sunlight
22. Down

If you have never seen 311 play or would like to try and catch one of their future dates go to their website and check out their upcoming tour dates. One thing that you’ll notice about 311 that many other artists don’t do is reasonable ticket prices. When many artists are charging nearly $100 a seat (after fees) for a show in Santa Barbara or LA, 311 only charged $50 for the best seats in the house. They truly understand the concept of “fan appreciation”.

Hope you get to see them.

Enjoy,
